Beth Anstandig is changing the way organizations, leaders, and individuals use their power. As a life-long cowgirl, writer, university faculty member, and licensed psychotherapist, Beth has over 25 years of experience developing, implementing, and training people in Natural Leadership—a model she pioneered. Natural leadership helps people awaken their innate awareness so they can live and work with more authentic relationships and connection.

Beth provides leadership, culture, and well-being programs through The Circle Up Experience. Together with an ever-growing menagerie of animals, Beth works with human herds onsite and online. She’s trained thousands of leaders and teams from some of the most renowned corporations, universities, and nonprofits.

Beth’s fresh perspective and work integrating basic animal practices into everyday human life have been featured in global media, including BBC World Service, PBS, and Forbes. She is a frequent podcast guest, contributing writer for MomsRising, and an advisor and content creator for Kahilla: A Basecamp for Women on the Rise.

Beth has an MA degree in Clinical Psychology from Santa Clara University and an MFA degree in Creative Writing from Arizona State University. Beth is the author of A Garden of Forking Paths (Pearson Longman, 2006) and The Human Herd: Awakening Our Natural Leadership (Morgan James Publishing, 2021). She lives in California with an expanding community of animal herds.

Anjani Bhargava

Principal at DLB Growth

Anjani Bhargava enables business results through leadership, transforming operators into culture-building leaders of today. She created DLB Growth in 2014 to work in partnership with organizations who believe culture should be one of their greatest unfair customer advantages. We work in partnership with CEOs, CHROs and leadership teams of start-up, high-growth, Fortune 500, and not-for-profit companies at critical junctions establishing the next chapter of growth, transformation, or turnaround.

The core of our work centers around two things – culture and coaching – helping organizations build the right culture for their stage of growth, and enabling leaders and leadership teams to be stewards of the culture through their behaviors. Building highly self-aware authentic leaders, who are the beacon of who others want to follow is our gold standard. Anjani is known for enabling transformational change in leaders by coaching across three planes – the work leaders do (strategy and tactics), how they do it with others (leadership), and how they show up as an authentic human (deep personal mindsets). These modes of coaching are in service of helping leaders optimize the full impact of their role – driving performance, leading their talent and building the right culture.

What get’s Anjani noticed is the quality of the questions she asks, her intuitive ability to see patterns and derive meaningful insights, and her deep accountability to people that quickly builds trust. With this, she’s able to bring practical suggestions and get to the heart of changing mindsets and behaviors. She ties everything back to “What is the outcome we are trying to achieve?” which quickly gets at root cause and impact performance levers. Her clients say working with her is like having a squeaky clean mirror who is in service of you and your business at all times.

Her genius is her ability to blend her strategic business powerhouse and organizational development skills with the deep human work of leadership. Given her background as an organizational psychologist and her broad experience as a Fortune 100 leader, founder, investor and board member, she understands the complexities leaders face from every angle, across the lifecycle of a business from inception to growth to resurgence.

Anjani has over 20 years in the industry, as an operator and a consultant. Her clients include large organizations such as IBM, Xerox, Biogen, AMD, and Cedars-Sinai, High-Growth companies such as Slack, Radiology Partners, IRI, Capsilon, and AVIA, and a multitude of VC and PE-backed startups. She regularly works with Private Equity and Venture firms, and their portfolio. She has operated in key leadership roles for Motorola, Pepsi, and Lenovo; most recently she served as the Chief HR Officer for Topco, and the Chief Talent and Organization Development Officer for Abundant Venture Partners. She is an active investor and sits on boards of early stage companies.
